This is a whipped goat cheese appetizer that is perfect for hosting and combines sweet and savory flavors! My friends from high school came and visited me at the beach and we devoured this appetizer in 5 minutes. We ended up having a lot of left over whipped goat cheese and used it in a lot of other recipes over the weekend!
Serves: 8-10
Ingredients:
1 french baguette
10 oz goat cheese
8 oz low-fat cream cheese
1 tbsp balsamic glaze
1 tsp garlic powder
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup mixed berries/fruit
Handful of fresh basil
1 tbsp honey
Method:
1. In a food processor, combine the goat cheese, cream cheese, and garlic powder.
2. Slice the french baguette into thin slices, drizzle in olive oil, and toast at 375 F for about 10-12 minutes or until golden.
3. Once the toast and goat cheese is done, spread the goat cheese onto the bread and top half with tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and basil and the other half with berries and honey.
