Greek Turkey Burgers

These greek turkey burgers have my heart. I made these today to have for the week and I can genuinely say that I absolutely love them. They are so dynamic and contain so many different flavorful ingredients. You can use any bun you like, lettuce cups, pita pockets, or have them on the salad! This recipe pairs so perfectly with my home-made tzatziki sauce and pickled onions.

Serves: 6-8 burgers

For the burgers:

  • 1.5 lb lean ground turkey

  • 1 cup spinach, chopped

  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced or 1 tbsp store-bought minced garlic

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped check

  • ⅓ cup feta, crumbled

  • ⅓ cup red onion, chopped finely

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • Pinch of Pepper

  • Avocado Oil for cooking

Method:

1.Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl until a sticky mixture forms

2.Heat avocado oil in a skillet to medium-high heat

3.Form the mixture into 5-6 patties and cook them on the stovetop for about 5-6 minutes each side. They should get slightly browned on the outside and have an internal temp of 165 degrees F.

4.Serve these burgers on a bun, with lettuce bibs, over a salad, or with a side of roasted veg and fries! Make sure to top them with my Tzaziki sauce!
